You don’t need another lecture about willpower. You need a plan that actually fits your life.
Maybe you’ve tried Gamblers Anonymous, deleted the apps, or promised yourself it was the last time. Maybe it even worked for a while. But if you’re here, something keeps pulling you back, and you’re tired of the cycle.
How we will work together
- We start with you. Not just your gambling, but your work, relationships, stress, and what gambling has been doing for you.
- You set the goals. Stopping completely, cutting back, or regaining control: we decide together, and nothing is forced on you. You’ll never hear me tell you that you’re “in denial.”
- You get practical tools. Evidence-based strategies, including CBT and motivational interviewing, help you handle urges, stop chasing losses, and challenge the thinking that keeps you betting.
- We check progress every week. If something isn’t working, we adjust.
- You leave with skills for life. By the end, you’ll understand yourself well enough to handle future stress without turning to gambling.

CBT is at the center of effective recovery from problem gambling
Cognitive-behavioral therapy represents the gold standard for treating gambling disorder across multiple national guidelines.
In a meta-analysis of 15 randomized controlled trials with 1,536 participants, CBT showed significant posttreatment improvements over other treatment approaches in self-efficacy, cognitive distortions, and coping mechanisms. Alternative treatment approaches included cognitive restructuring, stimulus control, and exposure therapy.
